Most of the doctors in Delhi practice privately from small clinics. There are large number of world class hospitals in Delhi both private and government owned. Although government hospitals have well qualified and experienced doctors, but they are mostly over crowded.

Apart from that Delhi has excellent private hospitals with international standard infrastructures like Apollo Hospital, Forties Hospital, Wrockharth Hospital, AIIMS Hospital, ESCORTS Hospital, Crosslay Hospital, Max Hospital, TRAUMA Center etc.

Commonly used medicines like paracetamals , pain killers and many other can be easily purchased without medicine prescriptions at chemist shops. Delhi has large number of chemist shops nearly all small and big societies have dozens of them.
